BR 2-03: "The Josefina Story Quilt"

It was May 1850. Faith was excited. They were going to California in a covered wagon. "Please," Faith asked Ma, "can I take Josefina?"(p.5)


I've read "The Josefina Story Quilt" published from I Can Read (reading alone 3). It was a story about a girl named Faith that loved her hen, Josefina. First, Josefina wasn't supposed to come because there weren't enogh space in the wagon, but Faith begged her father that she needs Josefina to come. Then her father let her take the hen with her for one promice. If the hen makes any trouble, the hen has to get off from the wagon. Josefina does makes some trouble, but it weren't her falt at all. She does actually helps the family some times. It was a good story.

BR 2-05: The Clever Woman

"Go and see Linda McCormack! She's a very clever woman. She knows the answer to everything." Sean Murphy is happy to hear this.            I've read "The Clever Woman" published from Helbling Readers. This book was about a man who wanted to relax, but couldn't relax because his family is always noisy in the house. He asked Linda McCormack for advice. She told him to get chiken, goose, and goat into his house. Then the house got more noisier. She told Mr Murphy to get the animals out, and after he did that, his family's noises didn't bothered him anymore.             I don't know that if this book is good. What this book is trying to tell is, "If you can't change the enviornment, you have to change yourself". I think this is kind of crusial. Just let the man relax. Puchta, H.(2007). The Clever Woman.

BR 1-02: Storm Castle

Suddenly, the magic key began to glow. "Oh no!" said biff. "I don't want the key to glow. I don't want a magic adventure. I want to play on Nick's computer." "I don't want a magic adventure," said Chip. "I don't want to go to..."(p.8) I've read "Storm Castle" published from Oxford Story Tree. This story was kind of different from always. Magic key usually glows when kids are trying to learn or discover somethings. weekend things

I went to my grandfather's house on Saturday. We went for lunch and just chilled at his house for few hours. That's pretty much all I did, because I did nothing on Sunday. Just playing games all day long.
